Guidelines for Taxi Drivers in relation to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Taxi drivers are encouraged to carry out the following hygiene practices while providing services to passengers

• Use alcoholic wipes (60% minimum) or disinfectant wipes to clean all hard surfaces at the beginning and end of a shift, or after any trip where symptomatic passengers (e.g. coughing or sneezing) have been in the vehicle.  This includes door handles, payment terminals, seatbelt and dashboard.
• Use hand sanitiser, and offer to passengers.
• Keep a supply of tissues, and encourage passengers to use them.
• If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and contact your local GP or Health Direct on 1800 022 222 and ask for advice.  If you are seriously ill, call triple-zero (000).
